The public was assured it wouldn't be developed by our elected officials and the appointed Coastal Commission. Alas, after many years of waiting for the brouhaha over its possible development to die, the impotent city leaders and California Coastal Commission allowed Donald Trump to buy it. Now, the golf course with exorbitant fees and his neighboring housing sites are selling for millions. The old Marineland site in the same area...same thing. Assurances of non-development after Marineland closed, but now, it's being over-developed by the for-profit developer and the public officials and California Coastal Commission again demonstrate their impotence and disregard of the public's wishes.
